Spring Break Paddling Lessons and Trips for youth

 Spring Break kayaking and paddle board camp:                                March 11-15, 2024 My name is Karla Held and I'm and ACA certified kayak and SUP (paddle board) instructor. This spring break (March 11-15, 2024) I'm offering a week long course in paddling. We'll cover safety techniques, rescue techniques, paddling kayaks and paddle boards on Canyon Lake, the Guadalupe River, the Comal River and/or the San Marcos River. You can sign up for the whole week or just day by day.  We'll start with basic techniques and paddle strokes and then work our way up to running rapids and short down river trips. I've also been a raft guide on the Nantahala River of North Carolina, the Deschutes River of Oregon and the Deerfield River in Massachusetts. I've been a middle school Spanish teacher for over 10 years and love working with youth. I've also worked as an outdoor educator at a private school in Lake Tahoe.
